On Monday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unveiled its 15 guarantees, including six existing free services. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal promised to supply clean drinking water to every household in Delhi within the next five years. The party also alleged that the BJP has resorted to dirty politics to win the elections and is playing with the lives of Delhi’s citizens.

Arvind Kejriwal and CM Atishi alleged that the BJP is poisoning the Yamuna water supplied to the people of Delhi. “There is no greater sin than keeping people thirsty. BJP wants to deprive Delhi’s residents of water for their dirty politics. BJP workers in Haryana are poisoning the water before sending it to Delhi. If people in Delhi drink this water, many will fall sick,” Kejriwal claimed. “People will die,” he further alleged.

Kejriwal said that there is nothing more disgusting than this. “The poison being mixed into the water cannot even be purified in the water treatment plants. For the safety of Delhi’s residents, water supply has had to be stopped in several areas. We are trying to minimize the inconvenience caused to people,” he said. Kejriwal further alleged, “As much as possible, BJP members want to commit mass murder of Delhi’s people.”

Earlier, addressing the media on the same issue, CM Atishi said that the BJP wants to keep the people of Delhi thirsty. “The BJP, through its Haryana government, is releasing toxic water into the Yamuna River. The water has so much ammonia that three of Delhi’s water treatment plants are on the verge of shutting down. Thirty percent of Delhi’s population will not get water.” She added, “In Hinduism, there is no greater sin than stopping water. The people of Delhi will respond to this sin of the BJP on February 5.”

The BJP has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of making false promises and failing to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Delhi.
